UCM Photo Society–EXPO 2009 Winners  

Hey Everyone! I thought it would be a good idea to post all of last years winners! Everyone did a wonderful job!  

For those of you who don’t know what EXPO is…  

Every spring since 1982 the Photo Society has sponsored this photography contest and exhibition. The Photo Society is a student group that meets regularly throughout the school year to promote student involvement in photography outside of the classroom.  This competition is modeled after professional print competitions and is a great learning experience for all those involved.  

This April the University of Central Missouri’s Photo Society will be hosting its 28^th annual photography competition.  This annual “EXPO” contest showcases students’ accomplishments from the past year.  Photography students compete, head to head, with their fellow classmates for top prizes in a variety of categories.  The competition is made possible by a number of respected professionals who donate their time to judge the photographs. Judging Day is scheduled for April 10^th, 2010 in Warrensburg, MO. This contest gives University of Central Missouri students an idea of how they compare to their peers and feedback from professionals currently working in the field of photography.

Congrats to everyone! The 2009 EXPO was a record breaking show with over 420 submissions. Let’s break that record this year!! Start gathering your best images, think of some good titles (that does make a difference) and keep them save till April!
